Journeying Through the Desert

    Open retreat for people aged 16 to 23
Retreat description:
    Lenten retreat about the experience of difficulty and emptiness on the life path. Addressed to older people - mainly students. The culmination of the retreat was the Way of the Cross on Saturday at dawn, which took place in total silence. It was an experience of immobility, silence, desert for the participants. Based on this experience, we built the further part of the retreat. The experience of the desert forces us to ask ourselves questions, and these lead to decisions. The desert surprises even though it might seem that it is the most predictable. It is hard to be persistent in the experiences that life gives us, the decision for persistence causes various consequences for us. These consequences, however, do not have to be terrifying - it is not about the fact that we have the ability to reduce them, but the ability to look at them differently.
