- Description of the retreats:
“Above the Walls” are “starter” retreats based on the story of Zacchaeus, specifically on his encounter with the Lord Jesus. We wanted to inspire people, show them that life is an adventure that should be embraced with both hands. During the first meeting we spoke about our desires and making decisions, the second meeting aimed to make participants aware that despite their barriers and imperfections we can, like Zacchaeus, climb the sycamore tree and see what we haven’t seen before. The last meeting was meant to confront participants with the question “What’s next?”, to prepare them to embark on the path of Christian community. The culminating moment of the retreats was the evening prayer, during which everyone could accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
